Online Blackjack Tournaments are played over several rounds, with players getting eliminated according to the tournament rules, usually players with the highest chip balance advance. The player who progresses through all the rounds and finishes the final round with the most chips, wins the tournament.

As you compete against other players in Blackjack tournaments, and not the house, you can claim the edge on your opponents simply by knowing, and following, basic Blackjack strategy.

Sit n' Go Tournaments - A flexible option to for those who enjoy making rapid strategic decisions, these tournaments start once a predetermined number of players have joined and are usually short and fast paced.

In the lobby, double click the Tournaments option on the Choose Your Category box.
Choose Blackjack Tournaments from the available options.
The available tournaments for the selected tournament type are displayed.
Select the type of tournament you want to join. Your options are:
- Scheduled (you must register before the published start time of the tournament)
- Sit ‘n’ Go
The available tournaments for the selected tournament type are displayed.
Select the Tournament you want to join. Note: You can only join a tournament if the status of the tournament is Open.
You can view the details of the tournament you wish to join on the tournament window. The following information is available to you:
- General information about the tournament
- The prize amount
- How many players have already registered for the tournament
- Rules pertaining to the tournament
Click the Join button or the tournament name to join the tournament. You will be asked to confirm that you would like your account debited with the tournament entry fee amount, if there is one.
If you register a while before the tournament begins, you can continue playing in the lobby and you will be alerted when the tournament is about to begin.
When the tournament begins, you can play for your share of the pot!

All Actions Stand
You determine the action you want to perform in a game by clicking the appropriate Action button. Once you have selected an action, it is final. You must ensure you select the correct action.

Joining a Tournament

A player may only play in a tournament they are registered to play in.
The maximum number of players that can enter the tournament may be limited or not, depending on the tournament.

Leaving a Tournament

Tournaments are played to the end.
If a player withdraws from a tournament before it is over or they are eliminated, they forfeit their entry fee.
If a player does not return to a tournament, they forfeit their entry fee.

Starting a Tournament

The maximum number of players that can enter the tournament may be limited or not, depending on the tournament.
If you register for a tournament and are not logged on to the Casino system at the time the tournament starts, you forfeit your entry fee.

End of a Tournament
Tournaments are over when a Player is eliminated or the Player has used up all their chips.

Cancellation of a Tournament
In the unlikely event that a tournament that is in progress has to be canceled, and the tournament cannot be paused and postponed by a few minutes, each player is refunded. The greater of either the players’ buy-in fee or their prize amount (if the player is in the lead) will be credited to the players account.

Disconnection

If a player is disconnected during play, there will be no action on behalf of the player.
If the player reconnects within the tournament time, they can continue playing in the tournament.
If the player cannot reconnect, their chip balance will remain static, reflecting the amount at the time of disconnection.

Fixed Entry Fees

The entry fee is charged per tournament.
When a player registers for the tournament, the tournament entry fee is immediately deducted from their account.
If a player leaves the tournament before play begins, their entry fee is refunded to the player's account.

Tournament Chips

Players start with a set number of tournament chips at the beginning of the tournament. These chips are used to play in the tournament and to determine the winner of the tournament.
All players start with the same number of tournament chips at the beginning of the tournament.
Tournament chips have no cash out value, and represent no monetary value. They are simply counters for the tournaments.

Scheduled Tournaments

Scheduled Tournaments are Multi-Player Tournaments that have a specific start and end time.
Players must register in advance to play.
The maximum number of Players may be limited or not, depending on the tournament.
At the specified tournament start time, the tournament begins.
The tournament does not begin until the specified tournament start time.
All winnings are deposited into the player's account at the end of the tournament.

Sit 'n Go Tournaments

Sit 'n' Go Tournaments are Multi-Player Tournaments that are played within a specified time frame by a limited number of players.
The tournament does not begin until the required number of Players has joined the tournament.
All winnings are deposited into the Player's account at the end of the tournament.

What is a multiplayer blackjack tournament?

Multi-Player Blackjack is a global card room game (similar to online poker) where Players compete with each other against the House. The objective of a Blackjack Tournament is to complete the game with the highest amount of tournament credits, with the winner being rewarded with a predetermined prize.

A Blackjack Tournament is usually played over several rounds, with Players being eliminated from the competition, according to the rules of the tournament, as the tournament progresses. The Player who advances through all the rounds, and achieves first place in the final round, is declared the winner.

Blackjack Tournaments are played with tournament credits that have no cash value. All Players begin each round with an equal amount of tournament credits.

At the end of the round, the Player or Players with the highest tournament credits advance to the next round.

What is an alias?

An alias is your multiplayer tournament identity. You are required to register an alias before you can participate in any multiplayer event – Slots or Blackjack.

You will be prompted to create an alias when you register to compete in your first tournament. Please note that once created, your alias is permanent and cannot be changed – so choose wisely.

The following rules will apply to aliases:

Players cannot have multiple aliases. Each player has only one alias across all Microgaming casinos. No offensive aliases are permitted. If you select an alias that is considered offensive, your alias is rejected, and you must select another alias.
